The Sheepshead Cabin

Sheepshead Cabin is perched at an elevation of 11,960 feet overlooking Elwood Pass, approximately 20 miles from highway 160 and 10 miles southeast of Wolf Creek Ski Area. On 40 acres of remote private land, the cabin offers access to 13,000-foot peaks and over 30,000 of rideable acres (snowmobile, nordic skiing, snowboarding, hiking, etc.) in pristine Colorado mountain terrain.
In winter, Sheepshead is only accessible by snowmobile or cross-country ski. Cabin use is suggested for experienced backcountry snowmobilers and/or backcountry skiers/snowboarders, and those who use snowmobiles to access ski/snowboard terrain. Renters should be knowledgeable of avalanches/avalanche terrain; and be self-sufficient in all aspects of responsible backcountry travel and/or rescue.
