Wilderness Medicins Courses: Narrow Ridge wilderness medicine courses are offered by the Wilderness Medicine Training Center (WMTC). For 25 years, WMTC has been a leader in wilderness medicine education – focusing on providing unparalleled practical instruction so that students understand, remember, and use what they have learned. Students are engaged through meticulously designed lectures in anatomy and physiology, hands-on skills labs, case studies, and realistic simulations.

Mountain Man Rafting was established in 1985 in Creede, CO and purchased in 2022 by professional climbing educator and guide Curt Howell, founder of Narrow Ridge LLC, the first locally owned professional climbing guide service in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. The company offers guided river trips based out of 8200 Mountain Sports in South Fork, rock & ice climbing experiences and wilderness medicine courses.
